So far I have found PicoStreamer for the broadcasting of live audio events to be a great find for those who desire to stream live audio at rates that are not costly at all.

Now, I'd like to explore it using a live video feed. I noticed on the website www.freshmeat.net, that the description of PicoStreamer indicated that PicoStreamer also had the capability to stream live video. If so, How can I tell the PicoStreamer client to connect to the video source -- I've tried it on a laptop using a firewire connection to my video source, but PicoStreamer seems to only detect sources from my microphone jack on that laptop.

You can use NSV tools and Picoicy.
